Submit a Complaint to the Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery

The SIGPR hotline accepts reports of potential fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement related to the CARES Act funding, programs and personnel. Please review the list of complaints we may investigate before submitting a complaint. 

The hotline also accepts Whistleblower complaints from federal employees, former federal employees, and employment applicants as well as employees of contractors, subcontractors, grantees and subgrantees, and personal service contractors under SIGPR’s jurisdiction who report allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, or reprisal actions as a result of reporting.

Economic Impact (Stimulus) Payments (i.e. missing or incorrect payments) should be directed to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) at 1-800-927-7899, 1-800-919-9835, or visit the IRS website at www.irs.gov.

Individual bank or financial institution accounts (i.e. account closures, funds balance disputes, service related issues, etc.) should be directed to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) at 855-411-2372, or visit the CFPB website at www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint.

State Unemployment Insurance payments (i.e. incorrect or missing payments) should be directed to the State Unemployment Insurance Agency for the state in which you reside.
